Sedimented Anger

Video installation 10´35

Durational Practice: During the 3-week residency at AADK, I climbed the mountain every day and experimented with different screaming scores. The practice became my ritual of letting go and empowering myself before arriving in the studio.

The video installation is a metaphorical expression of the trauma that gets locked in the body. The continuous repetition of the landscape view is interrupted by the naked body screaming. For the longest part of the video, the audience can hear the echo of the scream, as it is carried by the mountains reverberating into the distance, before returning to its source.

The durational practice was inspired by Scream Workshop with Antonia Baehr, On Duration with Raegan Truax, Justine´s Leichtling shouting from the Virgin, and Ana Isa´s Albano Araújo performance A-Con Tracer Segura.
